About Jeffrey Davis Perry

Attorney Jeffrey Davis Perry graduated with a Juris Doctorate Degree from New England School of Law in the spring of 2007 and successfully passed the Massachusetts Bar Examination. At graduation, Jeff was presented the Dean Timothy J. Cronin, Jr., Award, which recognizes the student who has shown the greatest promise of outstanding contributions to public service. Jeff was named to the Dean’s List six semesters. Jeff focused his electives on the study of Constitutional Law. In addition, he received CALI Awards in the subjects of Evidence, Legislation, Workers’ Compensation, Juvenile Law and Ethics.

Attorney Perry is also a graduate of Curry College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and was as a member of the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society. In addition, He has an Associates Degree from Bristol Community College and is a graduate of the executive management program sponsored by Babson College's School of Law Enforcement Executive Education. Jeff also attended the Plymouth Police Academy, graduating from the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council’s Police Recruit Academy in 1986, where he finished 2nd in his graduating class.

Currently serving his third term as the State Representative for the 5th Barnstable District, Jeff is the Ranking Member of the Committees on Education and Public Safety & Homeland Security. He also serves as a member on the House Ways and Means Committee and the Committee on Ethics. In addition, he serves as the Governor's Appointee to the Juvenile Advisory Committee and holds a Legislative Appointment to the Correction Advisory Committee.

Prior to his service in the House of Representatives, Jeff was a small business owner, having owned Sandwich Variety, Inc., a convenience and package store in Sandwich, a private investigation firm in Bourne and a wholesale supply company in Orlando, Florida.

Jeff was also a Wareham Police Officer and Sergeant, where he served as a member of Emergency Response Team and Honor Guard and was recognized with many citations including Officer of the Year award from the Mothers Against Drunk Driving "MADD". Beginning with the fall semester of 2007, Jeff has served as an Adjunct Professor at Cape Cod Community College in West Barnstable teaching a course in Criminal Evidence.

Jeff is happily married to his wife Lisa and has one son, Christopher, and two granddaughters, Paige (who will forever live in our hearts) and Faith. The Perry’s live in East Sandwich.
